To all my friends, readers, clients and site visitors – I need your help with a project. Tell me one thing I can do to help you. Here are some suggestions to give you an idea:
- Share a cause you love with my readers.
- Answer a question about something.
- Evaluate an article on your blog and providing feedback.
- Listen to you tell me about something you are passionate about.
The question or request is unique to you, I will do my best to fulfill all requests. How can you ask?
- My contact page.
- Formspring (nice if you wish to be anonymous)
- Any other contact option available (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc)
What’s the catch?
There is no catch, this is an important project I am working on and your request and my responses will be part of that project. I will protect your identity and respect your privacy on your request but generally speaking I would not use actual names anyway unless the questions are asked in a public forum, as comments, etc.
I look forward to your requests!
This is hands down the most interesting post I have yet to see in a blog. Thanks for this and for following me on Twitter @ericgyoung. Here's one for you – I have what I think is a really good idea for a nonprofit to help the elderly and disabled maintain independent living as long as possible. It would incorporate some traditional approaches to such causes, but it would also blend in use of social networking, accessibility for disabled Internet users, and education for elderly to keep them connected with our changing world. Despite being a lawyer, I don't really have a good idea of how to get this off the ground, connect it up the way it needs to be to get funded, etc. Any thoughts from the perspective of a social media guru? I would be willing to discuss more about the idea privately, too.
Eric – wow, what a way to kick things off. I love your post and it is an area I feel very comfortable discussing. I've never personally started a non-profit but I volunteer for several of them and at the very least I can provide you with some contacts and moral support. Let's plan a conversation in the next few days to discuss this more in depth. I commend you on your choice, vision and hope to contribute to your great dream becoming a reality.
That would be great. At your convenience, let me know when you have some free time for some discussion. Thanks for responding so quickly.
My phone number is listed on the blog, call any time Eric. Or if you prefer use the contact form and send me a good number to reach you at and the best times to contact you and I will reach out in the next 2-3 days.
Joe: Here's an article to review on “self signifying intelligence” relating to the measuring and monitoring of trends in information streams.

Hi Jan. I will review your article and follow up. Thank you for participating in this exercise!
Joe
I've added a review here on the blog Jan, I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks Joe. I would like to show you and Eric our software for monitoring info-trends, sometime. Then, all will become clear. Sorry about all the KM (Knowledge Management) speak. Still, one of the problems with Web 2.0 applications is that many of the lessons learned by information an d database managers have been forgotten … swept away in the chaos of the Google search paradigm.
I still took something away for the experience and of course appreciate your participation in my project. I am glad you are providing some higher end content for people who are thirsty for it. Even dipping your toe in the pool once in a while is nice.
Just keep doing what you do. You rock with the tips!
Deal 🙂
