I received an Email from Facebook today that is really saving me a lot of time analyzing all the fan pages I am an administrator of. Here is a sample of some of the information it provides:

11 Wall Posts, Comments, and Likes this week (2 last week)
149 Visits to your page this week (140 Visits last week)
This information is very useful to me because it gives me a quick at a glance view of what’s happening with all the pages. It also provides me with links to the pages, insights and advertising which might not sound like a big deal but it can be a pain to drill all that information down. Is this new? I don’t recall ever receiving anything like it before. Here is a video with more data:

Just got that email update myself Joe for my Fan page. Definitely a step in the right direction. Would still like to the ability to get instant email updates like I do on my personal Facebook Profile. Seems odd they don't offer that. Without checking the page every day it's easy to miss comments or posts that members of our community have made.
But this new weekly email at least helps me stay on top of things!
I also received it, but was the only admin on my page to get one. Are there guidelines as to who gets it and who doesn't?
It would be great to get updates, I think there are some huge needs with the Page platform but this appears to be a step in the right direction! Thanks for your thoughtful comment.

Nope. I just joined as an admin. Someone else created the page.
Ok this actually makes sense then, Facebook tends to roll things out selectively. We're some of the lucky ones, eventually everyone will start to receive the messages if all goes well. Thanks for responding back this was very useful.
I was afraid this was spam (since the notice came to 2 of my emails but for only one of my two fan pages. I've been afraid to open it. Thanks for the info.
Sandra – if only more users were as cautious as you are virus, malware, etc would not get around. Glad this helped clarify.
I am an admin on a facebook page (http://www.bit.ly/tmvfb) but I am not getting the weekly report. My fellow admin who set up the page from his Facebook page is getting it but not regularly. Any ideas on what I can do? Your thoughts are appreciated! Thanks~ Michele Walker
I am not sure Michelle, I would make sure you “white list” the address the notification is coming from. I do seem to get them weekly but I do know also that Facebook does gradual implementation/rollout of such things. It could be that it has not hit on all cylinders just yet 🙂
