Another great resource I found by following @Guykawasaki on Twitter. I am a big fan of multimedia content for learning about Social Media. Get a group of people with months or years of experience in a room together and have a conversation. The results can be very interesting. In this case the group is a very qualified panel of social media marketing professionals.

I was sitting in my home office tonight writing an article inspired by Chris Brogan when I heard some thumping sounds like someone slamming car doors outside. A few moments later I hear sirens. Since I follow our Fire Department I check Seesmic and sure enough there is a tweet right there:
@srvfpd_danville STRUCTURE FIRE, 6 WOODSIDE CT, DANVILLE (2009-11-24 21:05:47) http://bit.ly/82vqTj
I click the link and see as a crow flies that location is less than 1 mile from my house. Soon I heard more sirens, most emergencies handled by our world class Fire Department are medical emergencies. I am not sure if the door slamming sounds were in fact some tiny explosions inside that home, they may have just been car doors but one thing is for sure – I may have never known about the fire were it not for Twitter.
I follow NYT Best Selling Author Joel Comm on Twitter, he posted a link to this article this morning. This is a great reminder that so much of success is about doing things. If you lack the motivation and drive to get things done start there.

“But I can’t create success for the people I’m trying to help. Nor do I want to. If someone isn’t so driven to succeed that they’re not prepared to put in the long hours, the worries and the investment necessary to create their own business, then I don’t want to waste their time. They’re never going to succeed and they should stick to their J.O.B.” – Joel Comm
